Shabla

Shabla

The town of Shabla is located about 80 km north of Varna and about 25 km from the border with Romania. The city itself is not located directly on maritime territory, but the Black Sea coast is only a few kilometers away.

One of the major landmarks in the area is located on the easternmost point of Bulgaria, Cape Shabla. The oldest and highest seaside lighthouse on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast was built in 1856. The area around the lighthouse is a military area and access is restricted.

The Little Sea
The Little Sea
South of Cape Shabla lighthouse is located the Little Sea area. The rocky beach, located next to a monument dedicated to the fallen Soviet fliers, is reached by a coastal road. The area is suitable for swimming, walking, scuba diving and is often visited by families with young children.

Close to the cape of Shabla is located the only officially registered fishing village in Bulgaria - Karia.

Shabla Beach

The beach is located next to the Shabla Tuzla (known for its healing mud), just a few kilometers from the town of Shabla. The beach is spacious, clean and unaffected by construction processes covering a large part of the Black Sea coast.

The Dobrudja campsite is located near Lake Shabla. The area is quiet and suitable for wildlife lovers.

The central part of the city has been reconstructed and renovated. The community center building, located directly opposite the town hall building, was built in 1894.
